Pumpkin Spice and Poltergeist was overall a good read. It reminded me of Halloweentown, so that was fun.
There were a few spice scenes, giving it a 3/5 on spice level. The subplots were good, and it took some turns I did not expect. I thought the romance was okay. The character’s love was better than the last two books I read, but still very fast. I wish there was more character development. Honestly, it just felt like something was missing in the romance piece, and it was slightly cheesy. Some parts of the book were not cozy, and they were in fact intense.
Would I recommend this book? Yes. For a light read. The book was written well, and was fast-paced in my opinion. I give this book 4/5 stars because it was an enjoyable read, and I didn’t feel desperate to finish it - although the ending was not a vibe for me. I would consider checking out the author’s other books.
